Hiking in Oregon 

Located 6 mi. S. of Port Orford on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast, Humbug Mountain rises 1,756 in about 3 mi. It's a good steep hike with many breathtaking views of the ocean. I found the view from the top to be a bit of a let down compared to all the views on the way up. This photo was taken from a rest bench about 1/2 way up. In the distance you can see Port Orford across the bay. We ran down this one and picked up a pretty fast pace. Almost too fast if you know what I mean! Camping is available at Humbug Mountain State Park or nearby Arizona Beach.
